our most frequently asked questions to assist you in making you project

How long has FitzGerald Design Build been in the business?
A long time, Russell FitzGerald started the company back in 1981 and
for the last 22 years he and his experienced team have been servicing
South Eastern Massachusetts. The FitzGerald Design Build Team has a
combined 50+ years experience in the business and that is where you the
consumer will benefit and save money.

Q:
Is FitzGerald Design Build licensed & insured?
Yes, we are both licensed and insured. FitzGerald Design Build is
insured with a 2 Million dollar - Builders Risk & Liability Insurance,
also all FC staff are covered through workman's compensation.
We currently hold 3 State Supervisors Licenses within the company and and
registered with Massachusetts as a Home Improvement Contractor. We are
also a member of the Better Business Bureau.

Q:
Do I need to get a permit for my project?
Yes, with every build/remodeling job you are required to get a permit.
But, not to worry! FitzGerald Design Build will pull all local permits for
your project. With over 20+ years of contracting around the South Shore,
most local town offices know us by name.

Q:
How much will my project cost?
Since every project is a little different, (scope, size, location,
materials, etc...) determining your project costs is a part of the design
planning process. During this phase we provide you with a details cost
analysis breakdown of your project and work with you to determine what
works best for your requirements and budget.

Q:
When could you start my project?
Your project starts the day you call us, we gather your requirements and
then begin the Design Planning phase for your project. Typically speaking
a large scale project will begin construction within 3 - 6 months,
depending on the scope of the project. Most smaller projects (decks, small
additions, etc..) are completed much sooner.

Why would you hire a design build team as opposed to an architectural
company?
